Invisalign, so much more than just straight teeth.
I’ll start off by saying that I absolutely love Invisalign. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things to work on with my patients. Unlike other treatments I offer, Invisalign is a truly interactive process, that really makes you part of it. From your initial scan and smile consult, to your final day when I get to hand you your retainers, you’re there each step of the way helping me design your perfect smile and giving me input to help make adjustments that leave you not only with a beautiful smile, but also a better more aligned bite.
Throughout your Invisalign journey we will have several conversations to help build a better more trusting doctor/patient relationship, which I feel is critical to providing you with the outcome that you desire. Think about it, how can I give you “your” perfect smile if I don’t have a clear idea of what perfect means to you? That’s why we take plenty of time to discuss your options and better understand your goals. Once we’re clear on “your” desired outcome, I spend up to two hours, designing your case and making countless tiny adjustments to get your smile just right. And, since teeth don’t always want to move the way we would like, I will continue to meet with you and refine your case throughout the process so that no matter what, you’ll end up with the smile you wanted. Many people can benefit from orthodontic treatment.
Who is Invisalign for?
If you’re embarrassed by your crooked smile, Invisalign can help give you that straight ideal smile you’ve always wanted.
If you’re concerned about aging, Invisalign can literally turn back the clock and return your smile to what it was years ago before the natural shifting and crowding of your teeth changed things.
Even if you love your smile, Invisalign may be able to help you protect it long term and avoid additional dental work in the future. My husband was a non-standard Invisalign patient himself. He was perfectly happy with his smile, but natural shifting of his teeth over time led to crowding that made brushing and flossing increasingly difficult. When it became obvious that the only way to prevent a future full of dental work was to create better spacing between teeth so that food wouldn’t get stuck so easily and he could floss properly again, he decided to go for it and he couldn’t be happier with the results.
His home hygiene improved dramatically, he has no new cavities forming between his teeth and he says his jaw even feels better because everything is now in better alignment. Best of all my husband will reach his goal of avoiding the need for major dental work in the future.
Whether you had braces as a kid and never wore your retainer, your teeth have become misaligned over the years due to aging or you’re suffering from decay because of crowding that makes your home care difficult or impossible, Invisalign can help.
